| This is one of my favorite shots of Venice. You can see from where I was shooting while standing on a little bridge over a lagoon all the way out to the open water entrance to the Grand Canal. If I spend time looking at this one and dream about my times there, I am immediately transported to the space, filled with subdued sounds of life, wafts of splendid odors of fresh bread baking, and the near silent movement of humanly-paddled gondolas in La Serenissima, The Most Serene. |
